What happens after I sign up?

Once you register, you'll receive a confirmation email with all the details.

A few days before November 3rd, I'll send you the link to join our private Facebook group. This is where the workshop happens.

Here's how the workshop works:

Each day (November 3-5), I'll post in the Facebook group:

📹 Video tutorials for all three skill levels (Beginner, Emerging, Advanced)
You choose which level feels right for you. Want to try more than one? Go for it!

🎥 A daily live check-in video from me (about 15 minutes)
I'll guide your focus for the day, answer common questions, and keep you on track.

Then, you paint:

You can paint alone at your own pace using the video tutorials.

OR

You can join us for the live paint-along sessions (if you added this option) where we paint together in real-time on Zoom, and you can ask questions as you go.

By the end of the three days:

You'll have practiced washes, learned controlled brushwork, and finished at least one complete painting. Maybe more if you tried multiple skill levels!

Everything stays in the Facebook group, so you can revisit tutorials and catch up if you miss a day.

Choose Beginner if you've never painted with watercolor or feel most comfortable starting with the absolute basics.

Choose Emerging if you've tried watercolor before but want more structure and confidence-building techniques.

Choose Advanced if you're ready to tackle complex color interactions and atmospheric effects.

You can always explore other levels during the workshop. There's no wrong choice, and you can watch multiple tutorials if you want to challenge yourself or review fundamentals.

You'll receive all three skill levels for every day.

This means you can start with Beginner and move to Emerging if you're feeling confident, or try the Advanced tutorial just to see what's possible.

Some participants watch multiple levels to understand the full progression. This flexibility ensures you're never stuck. If you're unsure where you fit, start with Beginner and explore from there.

The curated path is about giving you clear options, not limiting you to just one track.

You'll need basic watercolor supplies: paints, brushes, and paper. The beauty of this workshop is that you can use what you already have or pick up inexpensive student-grade supplies to start.

Don't have supplies yet? At checkout, you'll see an option to add our Watercolor Starter Kit for $12, which includes a complete supply guide (with specific brands at budget/mid-range/upgrade price points), color mixing basics, brushstroke practice templates, PLUS recordings of all daily check-ins so you know exactly what to buy without wasting money.

The workshop includes video tutorials you follow at your own pace.

The Membership Preview Paint-Alongs are optional live Zoom sessions where you paint the same techniques in real-time with me and other participants. These sessions happen the same day each tutorial is released, so you can complete your paintings together, ask questions, and experience the community aspect of painting.

Monday 10am-12pm (Central time)

Tuesday 12-2pm (Central time)

Wednesday 7-9pm (Central time)

Stay the entire 2 hours, or just come to finish your painting. It's your choice.

Cost: $9 (added at checkout)

Not recorded - these are live-only experiences.

Each session has limited participants, so if you want to paint live with us, add this option when you register.

You'll have access to the tutorial links and can work through them at your own pace.

The daily check-in recordings will be available in the workshop Facebook group for 2 weeks (or grab the Starter Kit to keep them forever).

The live paint-along sessions (if you added them) are only available during scheduled times and won't be recorded. If you miss one session, you can join the next. We schedule three throughout the workshop at different times.

Tutorial videos: Yours to keep forever.

Daily check-in recordings: Available in the Facebook group for 2 weeks. Want to keep them longer? Add the Watercolor Starter Kit ($12) at checkout.

Live paint-along sessions (optional add-on): Not recorded. They're designed to be informal, in-the-moment experiences where we paint together for about 2 hours.

We schedule three live paint sessions throughout the workshop at different times of day to accommodate various schedules.

If you can't make one session, you'll have two other opportunities to join us live. The goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to experience painting with the community.

This is entirely up to you. Each tutorial varies in length, and you decide how long you spend painting. Some participants complete a tutorial in one sitting, while others break it into shorter practice sessions throughout the day. Painting for just 15 minutes is perfectly fine and still builds your skills and confidence.

The beauty of watercolor is that you can pick up your brush whenever you have time, whether that's 15 minutes during lunch or an hour in the evening. There's no "right" amount of time. What matters is that you're painting at a pace that feels good for you.
